Stimulus Funding and Our Community - A Community Workshop

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), signed into law on February 17th, 2009, made more than $300 Billion in federal monies available as a stimulus to the American economy. In the whole, these monies are intended to not only stimulate the economy, but also to improve quality of life for Americans. Current trends in funding are recognizing that grass roots and community based groups are among the best situated to recognize community needs and develop community soluations.

Come hear about the latest funding opportunities from both government and philanthropic sources, get the basics on grant writing and finding opportunities, and make new friends for collaboration and networking.
